Slow blogging

I got a new phone just before Christmas. Ella took Grant's phone for a swim, and thus he needed a replacement. The T-Mobile store was having a two-fer special so we both got smart phones. I hated it at first, but now it's become my constant companion. I downloaded a reader, so that I could read all my favorite blogs from my phone, and ever since I did so, it seems the blogging world has gone to sleep. It's probably the time of year, January can be so frightfully dull. But I have to say, I miss all of you out there.

And I guess I'm the pot calling the kettle black because I honestly haven't had much to say lately either. It seems all that's been going on since the holidays is a lot of work and a string of illnesses. Last week Grant had pneumonia and the swine flu, which led me to question which came first......

So here's a quick update....Grant seems to be feeling much better this weekend. And there's light at the end of the tunnel with his back and legs. They've started a round of new medications that seem to be much better. And we've stayed out of the hospital for almost a month now. Yay

Ella is going to be 18 months old in a few days. She spent her first hour in Nursery today. She had fun with the toys, but had a melt down when they cleaned up and tried to have a lesson. One of the gals took her in the hall, where she promptly passed out. Poor baby so tired. She's trouble, and doesn't know what no means, her mommy and daddy have no authority over her apparantly. But she looks up at us with her big blue eyes and gives us kisses and makes us forget how naughty she is. It's all trickery and part of her diabolical plot to rule the world some day, I'm sure. She's also got quite a vocabulary now....dog, cat, mama, dada, bumpa (Grandpa), Turtle, No, na night, cold, hot, bu bye....and she loves to sing twinkle twinkle little stars.

I have kind of a new job, that's a lot of work, but really good for me. I manage all the credit cards, cell phones, and Travel expenses for the county. It's exhausting but my days go by fast. I constantly strive and fail to get some of the things I used to enjoy back into my life like exercising, sleeping, reading, and practicing and teaching the piano. All so far have not been happening very much, if at all. Ah well. Time and place.

So that's a recap from us. Hope the rest of you are doing all right. Have a Happy Valentine's Day. Life starts to get a little more interesting with spring on the horizon!

Guilty as charged. I think of posts to write and then I sit down and forget everything!

I, too, have noticed the blogging trend slowing down. I think alot of people are opting for a quick Facebook sentence instead.

Fun to read your update. (I think I'll always prefer the details of blogging!). Glad things are alright your way.
